Niels Henrik Broge is a senior expert at DHI, specialising in satellite-based Earth observation and geospatial data analysis. With a PhD in physical geography and decades of experience in remote sensing, Niels works across national and international projects that harness satellite data to support environmental monitoring, infrastructure planning and climate adaptation.

Before joining DHI, he held key roles at the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate, the Geodata Agency and research institutions, where he helped shape Denmark’s use of Copernicus data and geospatial technologies. Niels is also an external examiner at the University of Copenhagen and a leading voice in the application of Earth observation in public sector innovation.
