Based on research work on the morphodynamics of shoreface nourishments in the Netherlands and the USA, he has acquired an extensive knowledge of sediment transport processes and coastal zone dynamics. He has more than 20 years of experience in shoreline management, coastal protection and conceptual designs of island layouts.
